Family History
This is a photo of my parents Patrick and Mary Ellen on their Bridie
wedding day .My father's brother Jerry was the bestman,and
all the girls were my mothers sisters. All with one exception are
now dead and that is Bridie who is the smallest in the photo.
This photo was taken outside my mother's home in Penrose Street
My father had this postcard made and sent to my mother
My father was born in Mountmellick in 1901 and served in the Artillery Corp. from 1922 to 1939
My mother was born in Bray and moved to Penrose St. off South Lotts road when
she was still in her teens.
I was born in 1947 the youngest of six boys ,their names are Thomas,John,Patrick,Jerry,Mattie,
and myself Brendan. Unfortunely Mattie died in 1947 at the age of two. The above photo was
taken at my wedding in 1969, I'am the good looking one on the left.
The big day was 27/8/69
My wife's name is Cara, and the Bridesmaids are Gaye(Cara's youngest sister),
Jacqueline (my aunt Bridie's eldest daughter) ,and Marie McCabe (a friend of ours)
We have 3 children Patrick born in 1971,Catherine born in 1972,and Brendan born in 1978.

We have 2 grandchildren Nicole and Siobhan.
The above photo shows Siobhan,Auntie Bridie, Nicole, and myself.
Siobhan is Patrick's daughter and lives with him in Denmark
Nicole is Catherine's daughter and lives in Swords.
